The Ben Bard players present the world premier in English of the fictional play, The Statement, by Claude Salama. In 1942 ten famous German Jews, prisoners of the Nazis, have one hour to sign a statement that Nazism is the ultimate philosophy for mankind. If they ll sign, they and their families will be free to leave Germany. One man refuses.
Rehovot HOB’s Yisrael Levitt will be play the role of Ernst Hagger, a German Jewish hero from the First World War, in this powerful and thought-provoking play.
