Netanya branch talk by Robert Fisherman @ Moadon

Robert Fisherman was born in Denmark some ninety years ago. He is one of the survivors of the 464 Danish Jews who were captured and sent to the Theresienstadt concentration camp in German occupied Czechoslovakia and will recount his story.
Robert made Aliyah to Israel some years ago.
Refreshments will be served.

Ilana Shemesh is a retired midwife, who ran her own birthing centre on her moshav. She volunteered as a midwife in Uganda and she will speak about the fascinating experience and the needs of the centre.

Mixed Media Workshop

A “Mixed Media Workshop” with Jackie.
It will be a very exciting experience, with a lot of “hands on” in the painting process.
You can look up paint pouring on the internet to get an idea of what we will be doing.
We will go to a kosher restaurant in the area afterwards for our lunch (probably a meat restaurant).
Limited space so please, if you are interested, register as early as possible.
Need to register by: February 10th, 2019
Cost: NIS 170 (not including lunch)  All materials supplied.

Nitsan Darshana-Leitner is an Israeli attorney, human rights activist and the founder of Shurat HaDin, Israeli Law Centre. She has been leading the Israeli fight against terror financing, the anti-Israel boycott campaign (BDS) and combating the multitude of law fare tactics utilised against the Jewish State by its enemies. Ms. Darshan-Leitner has successfully recovered more than two hundred million dollars in compensation .

Netanya Branch: Talk by Susan Nahon and Documentary film for Yom HaShoah: “The Story of Beth Shalom” @ The Moadon

On April 30th just before Yom HaShoah we will be showing “The Story of Beth Shalom” a documentary film by Jack Grossman about the UK National Holocaust Centre and Museum. The Centre was the brainchild of James and Stephen Smith along with their mother Marina who in 1991 visited Yad Vashem – Israel’s National Holocaust Museum. This conscientious, thoughtful and considerate Christian family were stunned and challenged by the information gathered during their journey.

 Please join us at the Moadon at 1:30 for a light lunch followed by a talk by Susan Nahon and the film show. Cost for members 30NIS non-members 50NIS.
