May 2013 – May 2015
Our summer season will begin with a concert to be given by Alan and Maureen Tschaikov, who made aliyah from the U.K. in 1957.
Alan will play the clarinet and will be accompanied on the piano by Maureen. They have prepared a delightful programme of light classics – just the sort to enjoy on a summer afternoon,
Mark Lavie is the AP radio Middle East correspondent and has been covering the Middle East for more than 40 years. He recently returned from 2 years in Cairo.
Some thought-provoking talks will be viewed and and the issues discussed. For those of you who do not know what or who TED is – TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged.
They believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the world.
